אני חורג ממטרת האתר הזה וכותב קטע לא על ישראלית.
לפני 3 פוסטים התחלתי לעשות רשימה של מילים בישראלית בשדה הסמנטי של עקיפה, הונאה, מריחות ותחמונים.
סנרק הפנה אותי לקטע שכתב אורן צור על כך שהסיפור על כך שבאסקימואית יש המון מילים ל"שלג" הוא מיתוס, כי אפאחד מאיתנו לא ראה רשימת מילים כזאת. אני חולק על כך, כי רוב הידע שלנו נסמך על דברים ששמענו וחיברנו, ורק חלק קטן ממנו על דברים שחזינו במו עינינו. זה אך טבעי, כי אין לנו אפשרות בחיינו הקצרים להשקיע מאמץ מלא ורב בכל דבר שאנו רוצים לומר. אורן טען שזו מניפולציה תרבותית על מטא-שפה, ובכך אני מסכים איתו.
קודם כל כדאי לדעת שמשפחת השפות נקראת אִינוּקְטִיטוּט או אָלְיוּט, השפה העיקרית נקראת אִינְיוּפְּיָאק או לוּפְּיָאק.
בכל אופן, לקחתי את זה כאתגר ופשפשתי במילון איניופיאק-אנגלית אחד, ולהלן רשימת המילים שיש להם לשלג וקרח (סה"כ 19 שמות עצם ו-9 פעלים רק במילון הזה):
