Watching you from far away,
Don't know who you are.
Emptiness in your staring eyes,
Searching for something,
Wondering... it might be there.
You are beautiful.
The pain inside is slicing your human flesh.
You are smiling,
One tear is rolling down your skin.
In this moment of suffering and faith
You are beautiful.
Then anger is rising,
Tearing you from deep within.
You are screaming,
Pretending that there is nobody but you in this world.
Nobody can see your your ugliness, your pain.
Watching you from a closer view,
You are beautiful.
When you are loosing your mind
Kicking, punching in the empty space,
Burning up in loneliness, despair,
Wishing to disappear, to be vanished away.
I'm right behind you now.
You are beautiful.
Don't know who you are.
You can't see the tenderness, the grace
That is within your broken eyes.
What was life about when you lost your ability to love?
What hurt so bad you couldn't even cry?
Look deep into my eyes
It is your reflection-
Your perfection.
In these eyes you are always beautiful,
Always beautiful.

* The inspiration to writing this poem came to me from watching poor Guatemalan women. Looking into their beautiful dark eyes, i found great pain, emptiness and hopelessness.
