Today, is Mothers Day.
The day where the children get to spoil their mothers and grandmothers.
It means breakfast in bed, roses, family dinners and presents.
It's the day where as (grand)children we get to dedicate all of our time to showing our appreciation to our mothers for all they have done and do for us.
This day is not to say that we dont appreciate our mothers every other day of the year, of course we do, but it gives us an excuse to shower them in gifts, love and appreciation.
Gives us the opportunity to spoil our mothers without them being able to refuse all the attention, as the usual selfless beings they are would generally do.
I remember waking up as a kid, so excited to run downstairs and jump into bed with my mother and give her the poem I wrote and picture I drew for her in kindergarten.
I remember waking up early and secretly making pancakes and homemade orange juice in the kitchen, together with my father and sisters, to surprise my mom with a homemade breakfast in bed.
So CHEEERS! - Here is to the most amazing, selfless, giving, caring and loving mother and and grandmothers whom I love with everything in me and appreciate every single day.
