You must understand three key-points:
1) The Israeli illegal settlements, are STRATEGICALLY located, in order to make ANY true concessions impossible - and so it has been throughout the years, practically ever since the 1967 Israeli victory.
2) Ever since 2001, the extremely nationalistic governments here, have been building more and more, just about EVERYWHERE throughout the West Bank, confiscating Palestinian (sometimes even private) land and handing it over to the settlements - and the Israeli public, just keeps voting for the most nationalistic political parties there are.
Our extremely nationalistic prime-minister, binyamin netanyahu, is, in fact, one of his government's most moderate (which tells you, what are the other ones...).
3) Exactly a year ago, I was sitting in a session of the Israeli Knesseth (our parliament)'s constitutional committee's discussion, where the chairman, david rotem (a member of avigdor liebermann's extreme nationalistic political party "israel is our home"), had boasted how he had a big part, in the growing movement of Israeli settlement-enlarging, throughout the entire West Bank. He is still in that job, and today' the Israeli minister of housing, is one of the most extreme of those very settlers: uri ariel.
Given all that, what exactly WOULD the Palestinians have to discuss with the Israelis? The terms of their final, utter and complete surrender?
