What a glorious feeling, I'm rid of McCain!
This was what I sung today in sheer euphoria. I told everyone about the big news, even hugged a few in excitement. Even a certain someone who told me never to speak to him again after I informed him couldn't bring me down for long.
Then I spoke to Immelmann, and found out three stated passed a same-sex marriage ban, including California. California! For fuck's sake, not long ago I felt like we've reached the End Time when I heard about California permitting same-sex marriage. And now this!
Now let us hope Obama will have the balls to make civil unions with the same legal status as weddings (he thinks the definition of marriage is 'a religious union between a man and a woman', or something like that, but he supports civil unions with the same legal effect, which is close enough) throughout the country. Despite being a person with (almost only) excellent positions, he backed off a few of his positions (for instance, not talking to the Hamas; hopefully he did it for only good reasons). Let's hope this won't be another case of the sort.
